The aim is to complete the entire process and to offer customers and suppliers a wide range of services:

• The logistics of cutting, gathering, and transporting the raw materials, which facilitates all preparation tasks for the farmers in the field such as sowing and harvesting. This organization ensures that Venso have complete control of the raw material, which guarantees quality.

• We organize transport of the product to the final client.

• Storage of the product in premises located throughout Spain. There is also a modern silos installation with capacity to store up to 30,000 tons of dehydrated fodder, allowing separation by type and quality.

Ilerprotein, SL, Almacelles (Lleida. Spain)
This is the fodder dehydrator with the highest production capacity in the Group, and also houses the management and administration of the holding company. It has one of the most modern dehydration installations in Europe. It’s annual production is 120,000 tons.

Industrias Agroven Sur, SL (Granada and Córdoba. Spain)
It’s annual production is 50,000 tons.

Unión Comercial Forrajera, S.A. (Badajoz. Spain)
It’s annual production is 20,000 tons.

Aralfa (Tardienta)
It’s annual production is 20,000 tons.

Alfalfera Manchega, S.A. (Ciudad Real. Spain)
It’s annual production is 25,000 tons.

Pellets or Granules
Once the fodder has been dehydrated, it is ground and granulated, thereby producing one of the Group's most celebrated products, 'ALFALFIN', sold loosely or in 45 kg or 25 kg sacks.

Bales
The fodder, whilst in freshly-harvested condition, is subjected to a gentle dehydration process, and is then pressed until it takes the form of large compact bundles or bales which can weigh to 35 kg up to 800 kg.
Bales may be as follows:
Long fibre - where the fodder is cut up during harvesting into lengths of over 10 cm.

We have had an ISO 9001 certificate since 1999 for the dehydration and marketing of fodder. We also have HACCP systems that ensure the food safety of our products.

Process
The energy supply for the dehydration process constitutes once of the most significant inputs to obtain dehydrated fodder. For this reason, we have installed up to date co-generation techniques for the production of electricity and the use of the residual heat energy in the drying process.

As an alternative to the traditional sources of energy based on fossil fuels, we mainly use biomass and agricultural by-products.
Our aim in the short term is to install technology that provides energy efficiencies and savings, as well as the use of renewable energy sources.

In the dehydration process, we extract part of the water content of the fodder, reducing it to the percentage necessary in order to ensure that it will keep in perfect condition for long periods of time, with qualitative properties similar to those of the fresh product.

Each year we produce an average of 235,000 tons of dehydrated fodder, in a number of different formats and in factories all over Spain, so that the product can be closer to the customer and ensure maximum speed in the service we provide.

We have also opted for investing resources in research, development, and innovation, in pursuit of a clear goal: TO MAXIMIZE THE QUALITY OF THE PRODUCT.
